  • 2 cups slivered almonds (or other dry roasted nuts)
  • 2 cups packed brown sugar
  • ½ cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Dash of cayenne pepper (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pop the corn according to package instructions and place it in a large mixing bowl.
  2. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter, then stir in brown sugar, corn syrup, and salt. Bring to a boil and let it boil without stirring for 4-5 minutes until light amber.
