  • 1½ cups granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp almond extract
  • Pink food coloring, a few drops
  • Blue food coloring, a few drops
  • Cotton candy flavoring (optional), adjust to taste
  • Sprinkles (optional), for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar until fluffy. Beat in the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract.
  4. Gradually combine the dry ingredients with the wet mixture until just mixed.
  5. Divide the dough and color one half pink and the other blue. Form small marbled balls by combining both colors.
  6. Place on the prepared baking sheet and add optional sprinkles if desired.
  7. Bake for 8–10 minutes until edges are set but centers remain soft. Allow to cool before serving.
