Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb sirloin or flank steak, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 8 oz pasta shells
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme (or 1/2 tsp dried thyme)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta shells in boiling salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season steak with salt and pepper. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat, then sear steak cubes until browned (3-4 minutes per side). Remove from skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter, add garlic and thyme, sautéing until fragrant. Return steak to skillet to coat in garlic butter.
  4. Add more butter if necessary, then sauté additional garlic before adding chicken broth and heavy cream. Simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  5. Stir in Parmesan cheese and seasonings until smooth. Toss in pasta shells and steak until evenly coated.
  6. Serve hot with fresh parsley as garnish.
