  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil + 1 teaspoon (separated)
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts (cut into 1-inch chunks)
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium chicken broth (or water)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 teaspoons corn starch
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 2 1/2 cups green beans (trimmed and cut into 1-inch pieces)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients by cutting chicken and trimming green beans.
  2. In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium heat. Sauté green beans for about 5 minutes until tender but crisp, then set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add another teaspoon of oil if needed and cook chicken chunks seasoned with salt and pepper for about 5–7 minutes until cooked through.
  4. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, broth, corn starch, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Pour over the chicken in the skillet and stir well.
  5. Add sautéed green beans back to the skillet, combining everything for an additional 2–3 minutes until heated through.
