  • 4 cups powdered sugar (for frosting)
  • ¼ cup milk (adjust for consistency in frosting)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for frosting)
  • Your favorite jelly

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat together peanut butter and softened butter until smooth. Gradually add sugar, then mix in eggs and vanilla extract.
  4. Alternate adding the dry mixture and milk to the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Divide batter between prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool in pans for 10 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
  6. For the frosting, beat together peanut butter and softened butter, then incorporate powdered sugar and milk until creamy.
