Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 6 oz each)
  • 1 lb linguine pasta
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Cajun seasoning (to taste)
  • Garlic (optional, to taste)

Instructions

  1. Boil salted water in a large pot and cook the linguine until al dente according to package instructions. Drain and set aside, reserving a small amount of pasta water.
  2. Season chicken breasts on both sides with Cajun seasoning. In a skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter, then add the chicken and cook for about 6-7 minutes per side until fully cooked. Remove from skillet and let rest before slicing.
  3. In the same skillet, melt remaining butter over medium heat; sauté minced garlic for about 1 minute if using. Pour in heavy cream, stirring to combine.
  4. Add the cooked linguine to the skillet with the sauce; toss gently to coat. Top with sliced chicken and add reserved pasta water if needed for consistency.
  5. Serve hot, garnished with freshly grated Parmesan cheese or chopped parsley if desired.
