  • 6 day-old croissants
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 cups whole milk or almond milk
  • 5 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional toppings: powdered sugar, fresh berries, whipped cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Slice croissants into halves or quarters and arrange in a greased baking dish.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, and salt until smooth. Pour half over croissants and sprinkle with half the chocolate chips.
  4. Layer remaining croissant pieces on top and pour the rest of the custard mixture over them. Sprinkle with remaining chocolate chips.
