  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1 1/4 cups Almond Flour
  • 1 large Egg
  • 2 teaspoons Almond Extract
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 6 ounces Chocolate Bar (cut into pieces)
  • 1/4 cup Sliced Almonds
  • 4 ounces Chocolate (melted to drizzle on croissants)
  • Powdered Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Sugar (for simple syrup)
  • 1/4 cup Water

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  2. Prepare simple syrup by microwaving sugar and water until dissolved; set aside.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, softened butter, granulated sugar, egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract until smooth.
  4. Slice croissants horizontally and brush inside with simple syrup.
  5. Spread almond filling on the bottom half of each croissant, add chocolate pieces, and replace the top half.
  6. Top each croissant with reserved filling and sliced almonds; press gently.
  7. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 12-16 minutes until golden brown.
